Checked . Intent: How many games, and which order to play.
I lined the boxes up by the dates on the store pages, then again by the years inside the stories. Buying them in release order is the cleaner first pass. The 1973 inn only makes sense after you already know who walks into the 1992 villa.

These dates are the ones two sources agree on. PC and console dates for the first game are not the same day.

Story timeline
Broken Porcelain’s main story is 1973 at the Ashmann Inn. Its ending and Tormented Fathers share 1992. The comic Book 1 is set between Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain, per the Steam description.
A wiki timeline places Red Nun’s Legacy about twenty years after Tormented Fathers, around 2012. Stormind’s own text only says “over a year” after girls vanished in Sicily. It does not name a year. Treat 2012 as a wiki reading, not an official date.

Questions
How many Remothered games are there?
Three main games, two announced remasters, and one graphic novel (Book 1). Red Nun’s Legacy is the finale.
Is Broken Porcelain a prequel?
Wikipedia calls it both a prequel and a sequel. Most of it is set in 1973; the ending reaches 1992, the year of Tormented Fathers.
Do the remasters count as new games?
No. They are Unreal Engine 5 versions of the first two games, announced for Q1 2027. The official games page still says TBA.
